Why Cafe 1040

Why Cafe 1040

I understand the journey from "not called" to "burning passion" because I lived it. In 2023, my pastor invited me to pray about missions—I went from uncertainty to preaching my first sermon in Uganda that June. Since then, I've seen God move powerfully through four mission trips, witnessed hundreds of salvations, and equipped pastors across East Africa.

Cafe 1040's mission to help young adults find their role in the Great Commission resonates deeply with my story. I've experienced the transformation that happens when someone is mentored, stretched, and sent. As a business owner, I understand sustainable operations. As a teacher and mentor, I understand equipping others. As someone who has walked the path from "Could I really do this?" to "I can see myself doing this," I'm eager to help the next generation find that same clarity and confidence.

Why Cafe 1040

Support-Raising & Provision

I'm learning what it means to co-labor with God—not convincing people to give, but recognizing where God is already at work and inviting others to participate in His grace.

Philosophy of Support-Raising

  • Transformed from pride ("too proud to ask for help") to humility—realizing that receiving is an act of faith, not self-sufficiency
  • Understand that support-raising isn't begging—it's inviting people into partnership with what God is doing
  • Believe testimony builds faith; every story of provision encourages others to trust God more

Experience

  • Raised support for multiple international mission trips through personal relationships and unexpected provision
  • Witnessed God provide through specific, prophetic circumstances (e.g., "arched windows," prophetic words about shoes)
  • Built sustainable business relationships as a small business owner—translating directly to donor development and long-term partnership
